I have been around horses since I was 9 yrs old (I am now 35) I went to 2 summer camps starting at 9 yrs old, 2 summers in a row. From there I went to riding lessons and did some schooling shows. After a few years of asking my parents for my own horse I finally got one for my 13th birthday. He was a thoroughbred right off the track and I trained him to become a hunter jumper. We did small fair shows as well as just had fun on the trails. I also worked at a breeding, training and showing farm for 3 years. Almost 3 years ago I became a mom and spend most of my time with our son. I ride with friends when I get a chance now.
I am also a fully certified equine emergency first aid instructor. I obtained my diploma through Equi-Health Canada and I go farm-farm to show people how do deal with, and treat emergency situations until the vet arrives.
I really enjoy teaching people how to help their horse in times of an emergency. It's not IF an emergency happens it's WHEN an emergency WILL happen that they will be prepared.
I hope my dream will one day come true to have my own farm with my own horses!
